Noir & Blanc, an exhibition of new and recent sculptures by the Spanish artist Jaume Plensa (b. 1955, Barcelona), is on view in all four Parisian spaces of Galerie Lelong & Co.

Inspired by musicians, playwrights, and poets, Plensa, 66, often quotes William Blake's line “One thought fills immensity” (from his book of poems, Proverbs of Hell) which is, in his eyes, a definition of sculpture, and this exhibition highlights some key aspects from his sculptural practice.

Plensa is known for his impressive sculptures in public space including We at The Shard/London Bridge station and Water’s Soul in Newport, New Jersey, U.S.A, which were both inaugurated in 2021. Early last year, he also created four gigantic low reliefs in white marble, spanning a six-meter height and a total length of 108 meters for the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park at Grand Rapids (USA).
