For over forty years, Barbara Kruger (b. 1945, Newark, USA) has captivated audiences by blending striking mass media imagery with bold, thought-provoking phrases that challenge viewers to confront the power dynamics shaping identity, desire, and consumerism.
Organized in close collaboration with the artist, this exhibition brings together more than four decades of her radical exploration of images, language, and power. It offers a profound reflection on how Kruger’s practice—deeply rooted in mass communication and cultural critique—continues to evolve in the digital age.
Visitors will step into immersive installations where language takes center stage, enveloping entire environments with vinyl, soundscapes, and multichannel video works. Many of these pieces revisit and reimagine Kruger’s early works, newly brought to life through digitization, large-scale LEDs, and the integration of sound.
