CAPODIMONTE, QUEEN NEFERTARI 2020 SPECIAL
EXHIBITION SCHEDULE

Renoir:The Body, The Senses Through 26 January 2020 The body -
particularly the nude - was the defining subject of
Renoir's artistic practice and this exhibition will
offer a unique opportunity to explore his unceasing
interest in the human form. In recognition of the
centenary of Renoir's death, this daring exhibition
will feature more than 60 works by Renoir, his
sources, contemporaries and followers.
Flesh and Blood:Italian Masterpieces from
the Capodimonte Museum 1 March –
14 June 2020 Imposing or intimate, violent or
tender, extravagant or humble, a selection of 40
masterpieces from the Capodimonte Museum in Naples,
one the most important fine arts collections in
Europe, will constitute an exceptional journey
through the major achievements of Italian
Renaissance. It will feature masterpieces by Titian,
Raphael, Parmigiano, El Greco, Annibale Carracci,
Artemisia Gentileschi, Guido Reni, Ribera and Luca
Giordano.
Queen Nefertari's Egypt 15
November 2020 - 28 March 2021 Egyptian
civilization at its height. Nefertari, whose name
was meaning "the most beautiful of them
all" was the beloved wife of Ramesses II.
She'll be brought to life, as well as other wives,
sisters, daughters of Royal status, through a
selection of 230 masterpieces (statues, jewelry,
vases, papyrus, steles, mummies, wooden coffins and
stone sarcophagi) from the Museo Egizio in Turin,
the second-most important Egyptian collection in the
world after the Cairo.
