The Quidam de Revel Collection

When couture becomes jewellery

Exhibition at Sotheby's Paris: 30 June and 2-4 July 2018
Auction at Sotheby's Paris: 5 July 2018

For just a few days, Sotheby's will showcase the Quidam de Revel fashion and haute couture collection—hidden from the public eye for the last 20 years—before the sale in Paris on 5 July 2018.

Quidam de Revel needs no introduction for cultivated lovers of fashion and antique jewellery. For 20 years, Emmanuelle and Philippe Harros, the couple behind the brand, have sought out and preserved numerous works of iconic 20th century couture and accessories, carefully selecting each piece for its quality, originality and history.

Dating from the 1930s to the 2000s, the 160 pieces shown at Sotheby's provide a wide overview of legendary designs by couturiers including Azzedine Alaïa, Pierre Cardin, Comme des Garçons, André Courrèges, Hubert de Givenchy, Madame Grès, Martin Margiela, Paco Rabanne, Yves Saint Laurent, Elsa Schiaparelli and Yohji Yamamoto.
