With SEX NOW, the NRW-Forum Düsseldorf invites visitors to explore lust, bodies, and desire in all their complexity — from traditional gender roles and the sexual revolution of the late 1960s to current debates. The exhibition aims to educate audiences on a subject that — despite past revolutions and the commercialization of sex — remains marked by inequality and shame.
Featuring around 400 objects across ten themed rooms — from latex fashion, furniture design, photography, and media art to dolls and toys — the show explores erotic fantasies, queer perspectives, and emerging realities, all presented free from taboos and stigma.
To coincide with the exhibition's opening, the NRW-Forum is also launching an OnlyFans account. Unlike mainstream platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook, OnlyFans is known for hosting explicit and uncensored adult content. At @sexnow_nrwforum, visitors can view a curated selection of works from the exhibition and gain exclusive behind-the-scenes access.
