Nicolas Polli, Per fare tutto, ci vuole un fiore, 2025. Courtesy of the artist.
Conceived by Swiss artist, graphic designer, publisher, and educator Nicolas Polli (b.1989, Brusino Arsizio, Switzerland), this exhibition explores the intersections between photography, graphic design, and hybrid artistic practices. Bringing together Swiss and international creators from diverse disciplines, it aims to blur the traditional boundaries between fields. Upcycling and circularity are central themes, as materials and processes are continually reused and transformed. The project reflects on the tension between professional hyper-specialization and increasing versatility, mirroring Polli's own multidisciplinary career.
Through immersive scenography, the exhibition highlights artists whose trajectories defy conventional categories, emphasizing education, shared influences, childhood imagination, collaboration, and transmission. Processes become artworks in their own right: tools merge with outcomes, repetition generates variation, and even mistakes encourage experimentation. Recycled materials from previous exhibitions are repurposed to present new works, reinforcing the cycle of renewal.
Rooted in Switzerland yet internationally oriented, the exhibition features photography, publications, installations, archives, painting, and sculpture. A participatory installation for children and a self-assembled, take-away catalogue further extend its collaborative and circular ethos.
