Since its opening on October 27, 2023, the Lisbon-based Museum of Contemporary Art– MAC/CCB has aimed to create a welcoming, caring environment: “Living, habitable, and inhabited” as it defines itself.

In dialogue with a range of works loaned from the Berardo Collection, the State Contemporary Art Collection (CACE), the Teixeira de Freitas Collection and the Holma/Ellipse Collection, its rich and dynamic programme is articulated on visual arts and architecture developing a reflection on the axes of the modern and the contemporary, spanning the canonical and the experimental throughout the 20th century.
