“Good art revolutionizes your whole being. It is something that stops you, or slows you down.” Ugo Rondinone

This year, the seasonal event LUSTWARANDE looks back on 20 years of exhibition practice. Since 2000, more than 175 artists have been exhibited in Tilburg’s Oude Warande park including Louise Bourgeois, Berlinde De Bruyckere, Elmgreen & Dragset, Luciano Fabro, Dan Graham, Anish Kapoor, Sarah Lucas, Paul McCarthy, Ernesto Neto, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Maria Roosen, and Franz West.

Often previously invited as “young talents”, the 12 artists featured in STATIONS – Monica Bonvicini, Tom Claassen, Michel François & Douglas Eynon, Gereon Krebber, Mark Manders, Navid Nuur, Ugo Rondinone, Thomas Rentmeister, Maria Roosen, Marien Schouten and Erwin Wurm – have since developed oeuvres that are now prominent on the international art scene. STATIONS both refers to the moment the artists first took part in LUSTWARANDE and to essential aspects of the project: art and nature as well as the act of seeing, walking and slowing down.
