The exhibition covers key moments in the history of the Fundació Miró, such as the celebration of Joan Miró’s 75th anniversary, the shows dedicated to the artist in Barcelona in 1968 and 1969, and the construction of the building designed by Josep Lluís Sert (1902–1983). It explores the circumstances and individuals who promoted modernity in Catalonia, with particular emphasis on Joan Prats, a key figure in the creation of the Fundació Joan Miró – Centre for Contemporary Art Studies (CEAC).

Drawing on Joan Miró’s characteristic working methods in his later years—as well as his early approach to building networks—the exhibition, curated by blanca arias, Martina Millà, and Ramon Balcells, embraces a collaborative methodology that fosters diverse narratives and interdisciplinary dialogue. It is based on the ideas and proposals of artists who have previously collaborated with the Fundació, including Lúa Coderch, Anna Moreno, Àngels Ribé, and Antonio Ortega.

The exhibition’s graphic design, by Oriol Cabarrocas, emphasizes the materiality of the museum’s archives and documents. Through playful typography and visual elements, the design captures the festive, transgressive spirit that has long defined the Fundació, creating an atmosphere that powerfully reinforces the exhibition’s vibrant, open, and participatory character.
