Fondazione Prada (Milan – Venice) is active all the summer with an extensive cultural program:

“Useless Bodies?” - Elmgreen & Dragset - Milan - Until 22 August
An exhibition which explores the present condition of the body in the post-industrial age in which physical presence is losing its centrality and tends to become superfluous.

“Questioning Bodies” - Podcast series - Online
A series of 10 podcasts from the essays commissioned for the 500-page publication of “Useless Bodies?” with the contribution of 35 authors: philosophers, artists, writers, scientists, and thinkers.

“Role Play” - Osservatorio Milan - Until 26 September
11 international artists explore the ever-changing notions of individuality and identity. Role-playing, creating alter-egos, and proliferation of selves are possible strategies for understanding everyone’s essence and persona.

“Multiple Canvases” - Milan Cinema - Until 1 October
Screening of 20 films selected by artists Elmgreen & Dragset and the scientific board of the multidisciplinary project “Human Brains”.

“Human Brains: It Begins with an Idea”
Ca’ Corner della Regina, Venice – Until 27 November
An exhibition, curated by Udo Kittelmann in collaboration with Taryn Simon and part of an intensive investigative process devoted to brain studies, that navigates a history of neuroscientific knowledge-making marked by rigour, breakthrough, and discovery, as well as error and uncertainty.
